Fr. Michael is a native to Arizona where he grew up and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. Father went through a conversion to Eastern Orthodoxy after many years of a long spiritual journey from Catholicism and Agnosticism. He would later receive a call to attend seminary where he attended and graduated from St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Seminary in South Canaan, PA. He was ordained to the priesthood on July, 7th, 2013 by His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion (ROCOR). Fr. Michael Lillie was assigned to serve our parish as rector in March 2016. He also serves in the US Air Force Reserves as an Orthodox Chaplain. Fr. Michael has additionally gone through Clinical Pastoral Education with experience in Hospitals and Prison. He is available for pastoral visits, confession, and catechesis. Fr. Michael’s is married to Matushka Melanie and they have five children Dorothy, Viktoria, Isaac, Jacob, and Nina. In his free time Father Michael enjoys to exercise and practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
